Position: Engineering Manager – Electrical and Automation
Location: Hong Kong Head Office
Job Description:
- Head of the electrical and automation research and development team across different sites.
- Manage the product life cycle of the electrical component bill of material.
- Provide product engineering expertise in a professional manner during customer visits and audits, with the team as well as in collaboration with manufacturing
- Supervise product testing including interpretation of test results, introduction of the necessary actions and modifications as required to ensure that all requirements are met
- Ensure project budget control and capacity planning process.
- Knowledge about and compliance to the customer specific requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a comparable education.
- 10+ years of Hands-on engineering and programming experience in automation engineering for mechatronics systems.
- 3+ years of managerial experience of engineering or R&D.
- Experienced user of Solidworks Electrical or Eplan.
- Hands on engineering experience with Product Design/ Process Technology in the plastic manufacturing sector.
- Experience working with automation and robotic programming
- Fluent in written and spoken English required
- Fluent in written and spoken Spanish or Arabic is a plus.
- Knowledge of electrical compliance of the mainland China, United States, Latin America and Middle East is a plus.
- Willingness for frequent business travels to mainland China, Middle East and Latin America.
